The first WMPC administrative committee arose from that meeting, and soon, a weekly gathering was established for prayer and worship on Tuesday
nights. God outfitted a building for this work just outside the GR city limits in Kentwood. Meetings began at the new West Michigan Prayer Center in December of 2001. How glorious!

Roots

The spiritual DNA of the West Michigan Prayer Center is a unique blend.
There have been a number of influences brought to bear: The International House of Prayer in Kansas City, Morningstar in North Carolina as well as
Dutch Sheets, Chuck Pierce and Abraham Kuyper. Drawing from these influences, we have developed desperate passionate worship, fervent, radical Holy Spirit led intercession, and prophetic proclamation. We are involved in Spiritual mapping and strategic level spiritual warfare. Many groups already meeting here are focusing in prayer for the church, the city, the state and beyond.
